Target & Combat Archery
Do you have what it takes to loose a Grey Goose shaft of An Tir?
Do you know how fletching feels drawn to your cheek ? Have you ever strung and drawn a bow? Can you put 6 arrows on a target, how about in a knights eye slit?
Target Archery consists of shooting at targets for fun or in games and competitions. Competitions require wood shaft arrows but modern arrows are perfectly fine for target practice! Period style crossbows can also be used in target and combat archery.
Combat Archery uses special fiberglass arrows with large padded tips for shooting at warriors and other archers on the field of battle! Nothing could be more exciting than defending yourself with a bow an arrows on the battlefield with enemy knights closing in around you.
Combat Archers have the same armor requirements as Heavy fighters to protect themselves against attacks. There are also requirements for the weapons they use. Modern re-curve bows are accepted for target and combat archery.
