Target & Combat Thrown Weapons
Have a spear, axe, knife or darts? We will show you where to throw it!
Maybe you tried trowing darts or axes at your local bar? The movies make throwing spears look so easy anyone can do it, right? Throwing steel at wooden targets can be a lot of fun and competitive!
Thrown weapon competitions consist of throwing steel at targets, hay bails for spears, wooden rounds for knives and axes and foam boards for darts. Competitions have specific requirements for the objects being thrown but many modern day tools can be used with small modifications.
Combat Thrown Weapons have steel tips replaced with padding or rubber to prevent injury. Make no mistake though, to throw weapons on a battlefield you have to be armored and ready to receive an attack from the other warriors on the field. A shield might come in handy.
Combat Thrown Weapons can be deployed as part of a warriors kit ( a last resort if they have been disarmed) or a warrior can march to battle with only throw-able weapons. Spears and Axes can be used in hand and thrown if they meet the requirements of the battlefield.
